This morning is Nov 22 and we scurried around packing then catching the shuttle to the airport. We said our goodbys to the crew. It was a different type of cruise because they usually have an average of 7 people sailing. This time there were only 3 of us, which meant the crew had their own quarters for once in many months.
Upon reaching the airport which was empty when we arrived, I had to get my bag weighed. They charge a hefty fee when it is over 44 pounds. So, on the scale it was 19.5 kg, which turned out to be around 43 pounds. Amazing.
We flew to Papeete, Tahiti, making a short stop at Bora Bora, which has a runway on a motu, basically, which isn't really even an island! Then in Papeete, I switched to another plane for a short ride to Moorea, where I am staying at the Intercontinental Hotel. I need to get back to my room because the mosquitoes come out alot at night and I am in the business office in the lobby right now.
So, good night for now.
